Patrick has Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer/tumor found in his chest cavity (very rare). The tumor is attached to his aorta and spine. Patrick has had one surgery at 5 months old, and it has since tripled in size. He was born premature, and is very delayed in his growth and development.

Patrick was taken in by his grandmother and his loving aunt who also has a teenage son, Hunter. These boys are very close and Hunter acts as a great big brother to Patrick. They enjoy family time and time outdoors together.

Patrick’s tumor is currently not growing, and the doctors are still monitoring him closely. He is stable at the moment and will have another MRI at the end of the month to check in.

Hearts of Hope Network is here to help Patrick’s family. Because of generous donations and support, we have sent Tony’s Hugs packages to each member of this family and are here to help throughout their journey.

Patrick’s family is also fundraising on their own. While we are here to help, the cost of caring for a critically ill child can be very extreme. Many times, their parents have to take off work or quit working to care for their child.
